Today, Marlon Zanotelli has shown again his great form in Vilamoura by winning the 1.45m Class, counting for the FEI Longines Ranking. The Brazilian rider, ranked nr.77 in the World, was the fastest today with the 11 y.o. mare Sirene de La Motte, in the time of 58.59s, just enough to beat the dutch rider, Johnny Pals with Anna JO who were second with the time of 59.03s.
The brazilian who has been based in the Belgium for the last few years is having a great Vilamoura Atlantic Tour 2017, being already placed in the second spot in two of the Grand Prix. One of them with this mare Sirene de La Motte (Apache d’Adriers x Uriel d’Orval) which Marlon has confessed us today that he expects a bright future ahead with her.
In the remaining classes of the day, we have listened once again the portuguese anthem in the honour of Martim Portela de Morais who won the 1.30 m (Table A) competition riding the mare Cilgen (Cordobes I x Joost). The British James Smith was second and the french Reynald Angot took the third place of the podium.
In 1.35m competition the podium was taken again by Portugal, France and Great Britain, however this time in a different order. Laurent Goffinet for France riding Valkyrie Condeenne stepped up for the first place of the podium. The British Daniel Moseley with Escapado S was second and the third and fourth places were taken by the Portuguese, Luís Sabino Gonçalves with Twix V Overis Z) and Duarte Seabra with All About Fernhill.
